Un evento en vivo es una experiencia dinámica. La iluminación, los momentos clave y la interacción con los asistentes pueden cambiar en un instante. Así que la retroalimentación es crucial, por una parte para mejorar la calidad técnica de las fotografías, y su creatividad. Y por otra, para garantizar que el resultado supere las expectativas del cliente.

¿Un truco? Sumergirte con tu cámara en el evento, ser uno más. Vivirlo con la emoción del ponente, y con la del espectador. Estar atento a los pequeños detalles y a los momentos que hay que fotografiar, y a los que parece que pasan desapercibidos, pero dicen mucho. Sobre todo, de la parte más humana de un evento, las personas. Por supuesto, si por ejemplo se está presentando un producto o un servicio, es esencial captar su esencia. Sin embargo, son las emociones de las personas las que van a hacer que tus fotografías destaquen. Por ejemplo, la sonrisa de un CEO, el apretón de manos entre dos profesionales del sector que se alegran al verse, la manera en la que un empresario mira a su nuevo producto en mitad de su presentación… Hay mucho que captar con la cámara. Y cuanto más práctica, más control.

Escuchar al cliente y comprender sus necesidades

Ponerte en la piel del cliente es indispensable. Solo desde una posición así, vas a poder introducirte en su evento, como uno más, y captar con tu cámara los momentos más relevantes, y el tipo de imágenes que desea. Conocer la marca antes de ir al evento, y saber lo que el cliente espera de tu trabajo, es clave.

Además, el feedback después del evento cuando entregues tus fotografías, te ayudará a evaluar qué funcionó y qué puedes mejorar la próxima vez. Cada evento es una nueva oportunidad para ser un mejor fotógrafo de eventos. Nunca se deja de aprender.

Evaluar el desempeño del equipo de fotografía

Adaptarse a las condiciones cambiantes del evento

A veces no todo sale como se planea en un principio. Por muy estructurado y organizado que esté un evento, pueden surgir cambios de última hora. Y por eso, es mejor estar preparado. Tener siempre la agudeza visual, la rapidez y la cámara preparada para captar un momento inesperado, puede cambiarlo todo.

Así que podemos afirmar que otro de los retos de la fotografía de eventos es hacer frente a lo inesperado. Y no solo a eso, sino a la variación en las condiciones del espacio. Por ejemplo, a zonas muy iluminadas como puede ser un escenario, pero otras con muy poca iluminación como un backstage o un pasillo, espacios reducidos, multitudes impredecibles, o cronogramas muy ajustados. Aprender a controlar estas situaciones con creatividad y agilidad es lo que nos permite ofrecer resultados de calidad en cualquier tipo de evento.

Análisis técnico de las imágenes

Tras un evento, no solo hay que analizar cómo se ha desarrollado la toma de imágenes durante el mismo. Es fundamental sentarse a ver con detalle las fotografías capturadas. Hay factores como la composición, el enfoque, la iluminación y la edición que se deben ser valorar para ver qué se puede mejorar, y qué hay que mantener. La revisión constante de trabajos ayuda a desarrollar un estilo más definido y a evitar errores recurrentes.
